Baking Soda
Use & Care
Ingredients
Deodorizer: Baking soda has excellent odor-absorbing properties. Place an open box of baking soda in the refrigerator, pantry, or other areas prone to odors to neutralize unpleasant smells. It can also be used as a deodorizer for shoes, trash cans, and pet bedding.
Household Freshener: Create a DIY air freshener by mixing baking soda with a few drops of your favorite essential oil. Place it in a jar or sprinkle it on carpets before vacuuming to freshen the air and eliminate odors.
Laundry Booster: Add a cup of baking soda to your regular laundry detergent to boost its cleaning power and help remove stains and odors from clothes. It can also act as a natural fabric softener and help maintain bright colors.
Silverware Cleaner: Create a paste by mixing baking soda with a little water and use it to gently polish silverware and remove tarnish.
Fire Extinguisher: Baking soda can help smother small grease or electrical fires. Keep a box of baking soda near your stove or in the kitchen for quick access in case of emergencies.
Store in a dry location (and preferably in an air-tight container) to prevent clumping.
